The new PolyJet 3D printer, J55 Prime, from Stratasys that we purchased to expand our PolyJet 3D printing services

About PolyJet 3D printing technology

PolyJet is a powerful 3D printing technology that produces smooth, accurate parts, prototypes and tooling. The PolyJet 3D printer jets layers of curable liquid photopolymer onto a round print tray, creating exceptional detail, surface smoothness and precision. It also reaches accuracies down to 0.014 mm!

The print tray has up to 1,174cm2 (182 in2) and a print height of 190mm (7.48 in) and is capable of printing multiple parts at the same time.

The J55 Prime 3D printer, from Stratasys, uses PolyJet technology and also has its own unique properties which make it the perfect solution for your manufacturing needs.

About the J55 Prime printer:

  • It can produce high resolution, fast prints, without compromising quality
  • It has multimaterial capabilities, load up to five materials at once and create multi-colour or multi shore level parts in one print
  • It provides vibrant colour finishes, saving hours of time by removing the need for hand-painting techniques
  • It’s ultra-quiet, operating under 53 decibels.
  • It’s smell free, using a ProAero™ Air Extractor to capture and filter out fumes

What can it be used for?

The exceptional technology that the PolyJet 3D printer uses can be applied across a wide range of industries such as aerospace, automotive, art and design, medical, dental, consumer goods, education and rail. Which means there’s something to benefit everyone.

With over 2,000+ Pantone colours available in over 640,000 unique combinations, the ability to produce clear and opaque designs or even print in materials able to mimic other materials leaves you with endless possibilities! All you need to do is let us know your ideas and let us do the rest.

The printer can build multi-material prototypes with flexible features and complex parts with intricate geometries, along with a large variety of other complex, effective parts including but not limited to:

  • Jigs and fixtures
  • Composite tooling
  • Models
  • Rapid prototyping
  • Production parts
