Each stage of the end-to-end service that we provide will have its own range of materials available for use. Please see details and a selection of images of materials and types of finishes available below.

Materials

CNC
Our 5-axis CNC machines are capable of processing a range of materials including, but not limited to:

  • Polyurethane model boards
  • Epoxy model boards
  • Polystyrene
  • Aluminium
  • Timber

Composites
The composites team here at Penta are qualified and experienced in working with a range of materials. The materials that we offer through our composites services are:

  • Carbon fibre (in a variety of colours)
  • Kevlar
  • Fibreglass
  • Flax

 

Resin

We predominantly work with the following resins and materials:

  • Polyurethane Resin
  • Epoxy Resin
  • Jesmonite

There are a number of different materials, pigments and paints available for you to use alongside resin. This includes, but is not limited to

  • Gold leaf
  • Foils
  • Paint
  • Metallic shimmer powders

Composites
You can have your composite components finished in any of the following styles:

  • Gloss
  • Matt
  • Satin
  • Lacquer (in a variety of colours)

Resin
There are a broad range of finishes that we can achieve for resin projects including, but is not limited to:

  • Polished and unpolished surfaces
  • Lacquering
  • Sprayed and metal sprayed
  • Deliberately added defects
