RESCALING SERVICE

Penta Pattern & Model’s scaling service operates without size limitations.

Our skilled team can work from small and intricate maquettes using specialised equipment, to deliver upscaled final products of all dimensions. We’ve worked on some impressive large pieces – all of which began as scale models…

HOW DOES SCALING WORK?

We use the dimensional and identification data gathered by scanning a 3D object to inform the rescaling of the product. Working from a CAD file, the scale of the object can be adjusted without altering its ratio.

This enables us to upscale objects without distorting them.

Our Rescaling PROCESS

PROTOTYPES & MAQUETTES

Penta Pattern & Model is able to provide 3D printed and machined prototypes and maquettes made from a range of media to tight tolerances.

We work with customers at varying stages of development, from the conception of an idea to a high-spec prototype or maquette, and can aid in the production or development of scale models and beyond.

REVERSE ENGINEERING

With the prototype approved, we then utilise in-house 3D scanning technologies to reverse engineer your product. This process extracts data from the prototype in order to scale the product on CAD, with Penta Pattern & Model equipped with a number of scanning technologies to ensure compatibility with your unique model.

DIGITAL MANIPULATION

Our team works on Computer Aided Design files to manipulate the data gathered from the prototype. The scaling work undertaken during this step will ensure all details and dimensional accuracy is transferred from the original approved design to its full-scale counterpart.

COMPLETE MANUFACTURING SOLUTION

Penta Patterns & Model can offer our clients the complete design, development and manufacture process in-house as part of our ability to deliver a comprehensive production solution.

We provide 5-axis CNC machining, drape forming, and finishing processes to manufacture your product. This is complete with assembly services as requested by clients.
