Junior Manger goes to Canada for 6 weeks for career enhancing opportunity

Penta Pattern & Model Ltd, a leading manufacturer of patterns, composite and carbon fibre tooling, moulds and components, is proud to announce that one of its valued employees, Edward Lee, will be heading to Canada this summer for an exciting work opportunity. This opportunity reflects the company's commitment to professional development and excellence in craftsmanship.

Ed's journey

Edward Lee, a Junior Manager who has been a part of the team at Penta for just shy of 7 years, is embarking on a journey to work in a pattern shop in Ontario, Canada. Edward will work alongside the pattern shop staff for 6 weeks to learn about and focus on traditional pattern making techniques. The experience aims to enhance his understanding and skills within this area of work.

Edward said:

"I am extremely grateful to be offered this opportunity. I am eager to go and expand my knowledge of pattern making and excited to share my experiences with my colleagues when I return."

Penta Pattern & Model Ltd has always prioritised continuous learning and skill development for its employees. From a regular intake of apprentices to investing in training courses, the company ensures that its staff remains highly skilled and competitive in an ever-evolving market.

Managing Director of Penta Pattern & Model Ltd, Neil Walker, said:

"We are thrilled for Edward and fully support him in this endeavour. Although we don’t always use traditional pattern making methods nowadays, due to all the advances in technology over the years, it is important that Edward still understands the traditional methods just as much as he understands the modern ones. And this experience will allow him to do that.”

During his time in Canada, Edward will be immersed in a completely new work environment with a lot of knowledge to absorb. However, Penta Pattern & Model Ltd are confident in his abilities and believe that he will thrive during his time away. The experience will not only broaden his technical skills but also provide valuable networking opportunities with other industry professionals from around the world.

The entire Penta team eagerly await Edward's return and is looking forward to the positive impact his newly acquired expertise will have on future work. The company does have a number of employees who were originally traditional pattern makers and Edward’s experience in Canada will further strengthen the workforce. It also means that another member of the team will be equipped and ready to apply these skills when needed.
