3D RENDERING CAPABILITIES

With our 3D rendering service, we produce high-spec renders that capture product details and information accurately, ensuring clarity when progressing your project.

Our 3D RENDERING PROCESS

3D SCANNING

We utilise 3D scanning technology to capture data from real life objects. This is a non-contact process and we have a number of technologies at our disposal to accomplish this, including:

  • An Artec Leo Wireless 3D Scanner
  • Two 1.5m Hexagon Romer Absolute Arms (portable)
  • One 4m Hexagon Romer Absolute Arm

CAD FILES & EDITING

The data captured during scanning is uploaded on a Computer Aided Design file; this format allows us to work with product data, ensuring exacting information and dimensional data is input. The design can then be altered or manipulated in line with your vision to rescale, modify, or verify for manufacturing.

RENDERING

Once the product has been recreated in a CAD file, we can produce a 2D image of the product. Customers can then comprehensively review their product using the render.

Penta Pattern & Model pride ourselves on the reproduction of the original part’s accuracy and detail in the digital space, meaning our customers receive a high-fidelity render to approve or amend the design.

CAM TOOL PATHS

Following approval of the design, the CAD file is turned into Computer Aided Manufacturing tool paths ahead of production. Penta Pattern & Model can provide the complete manufacturing process, adhering to the most efficient production methods which deliver the quality established of the approved design.

Our 3D rendering capabilities are extensive, ensuring we can support engineers, architects and artists as they develop their product concepts.

We use Geomagic Design X for our editing services. This software enables us to define and sculpt the highest quality surfaces and present this as a polished 2D render for our clients.
